Le Vieil Annecy

Great restaurant with a good atmosphere, hearty meals, warm welcome, friendly staff and a big thank you to Hugo for top-notch, energetic and professional service.

A warm welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were lucky enough to sample the cocktails offered by the owner – a real treat, I highly recommend it.+++

The food was poor quality and far too expensive for the quantity. The service felt rushed; in short, a very bad place. (One of us got sick during the night.)

It was definitely the owner on the phone, being condescending! They were settling their differences right in the middle of service! It was very cramped inside, and the bread was so stale that even a fondue fork couldn't reach it! We didn't even bother ordering dessert.

We received excellent service from beginning to end. We enjoyed a Savoyard fondue with all the trimmings, and pasta with Beaufort cheese, which was delicious! We will gladly return!

I came for the weekend with my boyfriend on Monday, July 13th, to explore Annecy, and we went to this restaurant. In the evening, there was no wait, and we were greeted by the charming Betty. A wonderful welcome—she was energetic, smiling, and attentive. Everything we needed. The food was plentiful and very good (especially since it was local, which is important). Go without hesitation!
