L'Auberge de Montmin

As a regular diner at Michelin-starred restaurants, I found this meal excellent, with food combining inventiveness and exceptional local produce. However, the wine pairing was disappointing, both in terms of quantity (the portions were truly meager) and the quality of the wines (Bugey, Côtes du Rhône, Jurançon… no appellation wines), especially considering the price of €140. Furthermore, we weren't offered a tasting of any wines before they were served to the entire table, which is quite surprising for a Michelin-starred restaurant. The value for money in this food and wine pairing is simply not there. However, you can go there without hesitation for the food itself.

We had an incredible time thanks to Florian's cooking and Sandrine's smile. Everything was perfect from start to finish, and the food was exquisite! Well done to the whole team, and thank you :)

A delightful experience at the Auberge de Montmin...a truly memorable establishment where you can feel the Michelin star, given the meticulous care and respect for the ingredients from start to finish. Plus, the setting is magnificent. We hope to return next season!

An extraordinary tasting menu, one I will always remember. Incredible amuse-bouches, a little garden that would make anyone go vegetarian, lake fish like we've never tasted before, an asparagus risotto to die for, lamb prepared in such original and succulent ways, with a sauce that will forever be etched in my memory and remind me with every leg of lamb that mine doesn't even come close 😂. All this followed by dessert after dessert after dessert, each one delicious. We were completely stuffed by the end, but it was impossible not to finish every single creation. We opted for the wine pairing, and it was superb. Original, stunning wines that we were truly terrible at identifying, much to the delight of the brilliant sommelier. Simply an incredible culinary experience. Thank you to the entire team who took such good care of us during these four magical hours. We can't wait to return to try the other seasonal menus. A little tip: don't eat for 24 hours beforehand!!!!

The welcome was warm and attentive, with perfectly executed service. Each dish was a delectable surprise: refined gastronomic cuisine with powerful, precise, and perfectly balanced flavors. A highly recommended address for a truly unique and gastronomic experience.

A magnificent experience. It was impossible not to be swept away. The meal was incredible, extremely technical, precise, and generous. The service was also very personal and warm. Bravo to the entire kitchen and service team; we had an exceptional evening.

It's hard to describe such an experience! The place is magical, nestled in the heart of lush nature with breathtaking views. And, as the culinary scenes unfold, you'll be swept away on a timeless gastronomic journey. The "spring" menu showcases sorrel, peas, beets, asparagus… all bursting with freshness. The lamb, served in four different ways, is delicious, and the fish is cooked to perfection. The sauces are either delicate or boldly flavorful. There are so many surprises, so much flavor, right down to the desserts. A magical place with a joyful and poetic team. A huge thank you and congratulations for everything you've shared with us. 💐

An exceptional experience we won't soon forget! From the moment we arrived in the parking lot, we were welcomed like royalty. The setting is simply magnificent, with breathtaking views of the mountains and the countryside around the Col de Forclaz. Inside the inn, Sandrine, the manager, and her entire team of young women greeted us with remarkable smiles and kindness. We immediately felt at ease, like guests at a friend's house. Barely settled in, we discovered the house cocktail before embarking on a true gastronomic journey. Dishes and appetizers followed one after another, each more delicious and surprising than the last, with incredibly well-balanced flavors. A huge congratulations to Florian, the chef, a true enthusiast of local produce. He grows a large portion of his own vegetables, while the fish and meat come directly from regional producers. This commitment to quality is evident in every dish, resulting in refined, authentic, and succulent cuisine. Special mention must also go to the magnificent walnut tableware, original and elegant, which further enhances each culinary creation. We had a wonderful evening, certainly one of the finest gastronomic experiences we have ever had. Our heartfelt congratulations to Sandrine, Florian, and their charming team for this truly special moment!

We dined at the inn on May 9, 2026. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for an exceptional experience. The chef's cuisine is an ode to the mountains and nature in general. His cooking is not only excellent, it's poetic. It touches all the senses and evokes a range of emotions. With each course, a fox appears, a mountain changes color. His wife is very attentive in the dining room. In short, I highly recommend letting time slip away in this enchanting inn.

Seven friends, all passionate about food and wine, met at the Auberge de Montmin for an extraordinary culinary journey... Using the finest local produce and seasonal fruits and vegetables, the chef immersed us in his generous and indulgent world. All served by a smiling, attentive, and impeccable team in an enchanting setting. Bravo to the chef! Bravo to all of you! We look forward to sharing another moment at your table.

A truly wonderful discovery! Smiles and kindness greeted us from the moment we arrived. The dining room was delightful with its refined decor, and the menu was bursting with flavor, freshness, generosity, and precision. Each dish was an incredible surprise… what artistry! Everything was perfect, both aesthetically and in terms of taste… such creativity! From the amuse-bouche to the final dessert, it was a marvelous feast that makes us want to return and, above all, to proclaim this place a little slice of paradise!
